May 2023 UHF Contest
An enjoyable contest, although conditions on most bands were unspectacular. Operation on 432MHz was limited alomost entirely to the first 8 hours in the UK Trophy event. After that finished I put in an hour or so on 1.3GHz with some 2.3GHz, and was pleased to work my best DX on both bands via a well positioned plane. Sunday I concentrated on 10GHz and fitted in the other bands around that. Activity on 6cm was poor. My 3cm score benefited greatly from a good rain scatter opening at lunchtime for 30-40 minutes, with 3 x PA, 1 x ON, and 6 x DL stations worked. Best DX was an easy contact on SSB.
